Services

We have been installing and designing Radon Mitigation Systems with almost a decade of personal experience. We have worked with 100’s of Realtors in Northern Ohio. Experience has taught us that each home presents its own unique challenges. Our owner operated team of Licensed Radon Specialists will custom design a Radon Mitigation System that is effective and doesn’t detract from your homes’ appearance. This eye for detail and design has made us a leader in the Radon Mitigation field. We have installed Systems in Multi-Million dollar homes, as well as 200+ year old homes. These homes can pose real tough situations for Mitigation in larger square foot homes. In Historical homes the field stone foundation walls can emanate Radon. These Systems require a sophisticated Air Exchanger (HRV’s) for Mitigation. The solution to pollution (Radon) is dilution of the air in your home with this system. Call for details on Historical homes.

Radon Testing

We use only Continuous Radon Monitoring (CRM) for fast and accurate results. Your System can be installed in just a couple hours and start the Post Mitigation Testing process. The whole process typically lasts no more than 3 days. We offer non Real Estate Discovery Testing at a reasonable rate. Call for details.

Radon Reduction

The most common types of Mitigation Systems are Internal Systems & External Systems. The procedures of both are as follows:

Internal systems:

services-sm2

We use a diamond core bit to drill a 3.5 inch hole as inconspicuously in the concrete floor or your basement as possible. We insert a 3 inch schedule 40 PVC in this cored hole, the PVC will run vertically up the foundation wall adjacent to the attached garage. The PVC will route through the rim joist where it enters into the garage. The pipe will continue vertically up the garage wall to penetrate into the non-living spaced attic above the garage. A RadonAway RP-145 suction fan will be mounted in the attic. We will then drill a hole through your roof. We will install a neoprene high quality roof boot for a leak free, no worry seal. The exhaust pipe will protrude through the roof approximately 12 inches.

External Systems:

services-sm1We use a diamond core bit to drill a 3.5 inch hole as inconspicuously in the concrete floor or your basement as possible. We insert a 3 inch schedule 40 PVC in this cored hole, the PVC will run vertically up the foundation wall. The PVC will penetrate through the rim joist to the outside, similar to how dryer vents are installed. On the outside a RadonAway RP-145 suction fan is mounted approximately knee to waist high. PVC pipe will then run from the suction fan up the siding of your home. The exhaust pipe must be at least 24 inches higher than any windows within 10 feet. The pipe must also be a minimum of 12 inches higher than the ridge above the system..

**Not every home is the same. Some procedures may change to accommodate your specific needs and specific situation.
